At Louise Pierre we are proud that we can offer selected custom wigs to be made from a mould of your head to ensure a perfect fit.
What is a Head Mould?
- A head mould is an impression of your head made from cellophane and sticky tape. It is best made when the hair is as flat as possible either in cornrows or flatly wrapped.
What are the benefits of having a wig made from a Head Mould?
- Firstly a wig made from a mould will have an all natural scalloped hairline making it more realistic. The hairline will be contoured and can be made to match your own hairline.
What custom wigs do you offer with Head Moulds?
- We offer our Virgin Brazilian wigs with Head Moulds as standard. We can also offer our Virgin Cuticle Hair wigs made from a mould if requested.
How can I get a Head Mould taken?
- We can take a mould of your head at a consultation at our North London offices or at a home consultation.
I cannot get to you, can I take my own head mould?
- Yes you can. If you live outside of the UK or are unable to attend a consultation for any reason it is possible for you to take your own head mould. Please email us at info@lphair.com and request details of how to take the head mould. Please put HEAD MOULD in the subject for the message and we will respond with instructions on how to take the mould. You will then take your own mould and post it to us and your wig will be made from your mould.
- Alternatively please follow the below instructions on how to do the mould.
1) Get your hair as flat as possible this can either be achieved by corn rowing or wrapping that hair. What method you use is up to you but make sure the hair is as flat as it can be!
2) Then wrap the hair with Cling Film/Seran Wrap. Go over it a few times as tight as you can, make sure all of the hair is covered.
3) Then using large clear selotape tape over the cling film around the head. This is where you are creating the shape of your head so get it as tight as possible.
4) Then trace the hairline with a permanent marker all around the front and back.
5) Finally remover the mould and trim off the excess and you will have a mould of the head!
How much does it cost?
- With a Virgin Brazilian wig the mould is on offer at £35. With all other units the cost is £85.
