What is a Full Lace Wig?

A Full Lace wig is the most realistic and natural wig available on the market today. These wigs are favoured by celebrities like Beyonce' and Rhianna because of their natural appearance. They appear so natural that it appears that the hair is growing right out of your scalp. The wig base is made from a thin lace material which is then tinted to match you skin tone and complexion. Then individual strands of the highest quality 100% Indian Remy Hair are threaded through the laceand then hand tied into the base. There is no sewing of wefts like average wigs giving you the freedom to style as desired without restriction. The wigs have extra lace around the perimeter which istrimmed down to create a hairline. This new hairline is then adhered just in front of your natural hairline, once secure your new hair can be worn in any style from up-dos, ponytails or corn-rows.

How does it stay on?

The wig is adhered using specialised glue or tape. We stock a number of glues and tapes please see the ‘Adhesives’ section. The glue tape is applied around the whole perimeter of the wig. It can be worn for days or weeks, depending on the type of glue used and the method of application.

How long does it last?

The wig can last up to 1 year depending on how it’s looked after, what products are used in it and how often it’s worn.

What is the difference in a full lace wig and a lace front wig?

A full lace wig has lace all around the perimeter and is ideal for those wanting to wear updos, middle to high ponytails and other styles where the back of the head and neck will be exposed. A lace front wig only has lace ear to ear, and is ideal for those who do not care to wear their hair up.

How do I apply/Remove the wig?

How many colors can my full lace/lace front wig have?

You can have up to 2 colours on your lace wig. Additional colours are available on request.

Can I colour and perm my full lace wig?

The hair used on each wig is 100% human hair with no fillers. You can do these things to your full lace wig, however by doing so you take full responsibility of any problems that may arise and agree that LOUISE PIERRE is not responsible for any problems with your wig after any chemical process you or your beautician perform.

Is the hair tangle free?

There is no such thing as tangle free hair. Despite what others are advertising, it does not exist. Just as our own hair tangles, occasionally so will the hair on your lace wig. You should not experience matting and severe tangling with normal use and care, however occasional tangles are normal and can be easily combed out.

Will the wig shed hair?

As with your natural hair the hair on your wig will shed over time, this can be reduced by using a knot sealer on the base of the wig. We recomend TDI Knot Sealer avaliable from our store. Please see our section on Caring for your Wig for more information.

How long will my lace wig last?

The life expectancy of your full lace wig will depend on the care. Everyone will have a different experience due to the handling, care and daily use of their lace front or full lace wig. One should typically get at least 3 months out of their lace wigs before needing any repairs. Some will go at least many more months before needing any repairs, but it all depends on each individual.

What products are recommended for my full lace wig?

We stock a complete variety of products to enable you to successfully care for you wig. For washing and conditioning please use or range of Revlon Professional Equave products. For brushing we recommend the Denman TM Paddle brush. For daily moisture we recommend VitapointTM leave in conditioner. These products are available in our store and we stock a wide range of Adhesives, Removers and Tapes and much more.

I need a stock wig tomorrow, is this possible?

Yes, all wigs can be shipped next day delivery if ordered Mon-Fri before 3pm excluding holidays. At the checkout, simply choose overnight shipping and we will get it to you in time.

How long will it take for my custom wig to be delivered?

Since the hair is individually hand tied strand by strand, it will take approximately 6-8 weeks for your wig to be delivered, however delays do occur at certain times of the year due to a rush of orders.
